Open House Day 2

Informal Friends & Family Open House - Day 2

Another hearty thank-you to everyone who came out for my open house today, despite the lack of power in the front room.  (Chuck & I did eventually figure out which fuse had gone and replaced it.)  Hopefully next time, we'll be more climate controlled.

Today was lovely.  All in all, I had a wonderful weekend.  I reconnected with some very close friends who are very dear to me, and got to meet & better know several others.  Thank you all so very much for making my open house special.  I thoroughly enjoyed conversing, learning more about what you've been doing, sharing art books and sharing my space.  I will even call some of you out by name & action.  If I miss mentioning you, please know that you are still very dear to my heart and I am glad you were able to drop by.  You are all welcome anytime.

Mom, Lex, Linda & Verb - thank you all for always being so quick to help out with whatever and I am honored to call you my family.  Dad, this goes out to you too - I know you would have come if only you could do so and that Lex will share her experiences; I am hoping to post more online so you can share in 2ndStory as well.  And Mom, thank you again for everything and for letting me borrow your crock pot for the mulled cider.

David, thank you for the Cranky Yellow shrine and for your continued support; I am so glad you have yet more of my art now as well.  You are totally welcome to do a performance or event and we must collaborate on something again soon!

Aunia & Russ, thank you for engaging in everything in the space, and for sharing the idea that you'd "walked into my brain" - it really made my day.  And I'm so honored to have some of my jewelry included in your holiday show.

Cathy, I am glad you came by and thank you for the violet.  What a sweet gift!  I am glad that Aunia & I could share Frida Kahlo with you.  Barb, thank you for picking up my Tricycle painting and enjoy!  And Jan, it was good seeing you & Terri and I'm glad your foot is doing better.

Andrew & Kathleen, thank you for your continued following of my unique artistic vision, and for the studio-warming gifts with the pointed display stand and non-hole punch.  I look forward to seeing you both in St. Charles.  And Andrew, there's another Mexican Coca Cola in the fridge for you next time you drop by.

Ginny thank you for always being so warm & jovial and for knowing how to have a good laugh.  Maxine, it was a pleasure meeting you and enjoy the necklace.

Susan & Peter, thank you both for your continued support.  You have followed me through so many art shows and series of works, and you are always quick to embark on whatever journey I'm traveling at the time.  I am truly honored to be so well-represented in your art collection.

Kacey, you totally rocked out that pink mustache!

Jeff, thank you for stopping in and for the impromptu whiteboard shoot.  Let me know how the "spy cam" photo turns out.

And, above all, Ben, thank you for the warm welcome and for making all of this possible.  I am so very thrilled to be there.

I will be posting a virtual tour of the space over the course of this week so come back and check out the fun pictures!
